Materials: power cable turnbuckles, steel rod
Site specific installation during artist residency at Deep Creek, Telluride CO. A reflection on the uncanny similarity of the human
spinal cord and high voltage power cables. The inherent vertebrae-like turnbuckes beckoned this installation. Welded to steel rod of gradually longer lengths, the vertebrae were intalled vertically within the
negative space between two Spruce trees sharing the same root ball (Spruce is commonly used for power line poles). Their number reflected the number found in human vertebral column and when viewed from the side,
they reflected the curves of the human spine.
